TOM ANDERSON is a Choral Editor for Hal Leonard Corporation. A music educator for over 20 years, Tom has taught at the kindergarten through university levels in Montana, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Washington state. He holds a Master in Music Education degree from the University of North Texas and a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His choral arrangements are published by Hal Leonard which also publishes his books such as Music Fact Raps, Percussion Cookbook, Harmony Cookbook, Whacked on Classics, Whacked on Classics II, BoomWhack Attack! and Sound Shapes, Rhythms and More! Tom is an active musician who plays the piano, guitar, bass and drums.

An Irish Celebration

MARCH 13th, 2010    MASS – DINNER – IRISH MUSIC, DANCE & VENDORS

Mark your calendars! On March 13th St. Rita Parish in West Allis will be hosting an Irish Celebration.  Please join us for this very special occasion, but seating is limited and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.  Limited seating will be available for fans of BLARNEY, DEREK BYRNE (with phenomenal dancer Sean Beglan) and GLENCASTLE IRISH DANCERS who just wish to join us for the entertainment.

Please join us at our regular Saturday Mass where you will likely encounter some Irish music during the Lenten liturgy.

The fare for the evening will include Shepherd’s Pie (a very tasty combination of mashed potatoes, ground beef and vegetables), OR thinly sliced corned beef with boiled cabbage, potatoes and carrots, OR a half of a chicken (rotisserie grilled) with fresh asparagus and wild rice. Complimentary coffee and milk will be served, and other beverages (including Guinness and Harp) will be available for purchase. Dessert, Irish soda bread and salad are included with the main fares. Hot dogs, chips, and pickles will be available for children –who are more than welcome to partake of the main fare.

In addition to the entertainment, we will have Irish vendors, and many raffles (which will include fine Irish items such as Waterford Crystal and Belleek China).

1.    Make check payable to: St. Rita Parish (in the memo portion of the check write: “Irish Celebration”) and mail to: St. Rita Parish, 2318 S. 61^st Street, West Allis, WI 53219. Please note which main course you would like: 1) Shepherd’s Pie; 2) Corned Beef and Cabbage; or 3) Rotisserie Chicken. Confirmation of check receipt will be made by phone (make sure phone # is provided) – tickets will be held at the door.

2.    Stop in the St. Rita Parish rectory at the address above and purchase ticket(s).

3.    For St. Rita parishioners, purchase tickets at the back of church after all Masses on the following days: February 20^th & 21^st, 27^th & 28^th, and March 6^th and 7^th.
